Game Highlights

Rich South toppled Thornton in overtime in the semifinals, 53-49, and will play for the crown for the first time since 1997. The Stars own a 3-8 record in championship contests. After falling in the championship contest last year, Thornton was hoping for a chance for its eighth McDipper title.
The Stars found success vs. the Wildcats with balance, as Jeremy Ruffin had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Dedrick Shannon, Jr. and Dominick Martin (eight rebounds) each clicked for 14 points. Rich South gained a 10-6 scoring advantage in the extra session. Thornton was paced by 21 points and nine rebounds from Robert McCalley, but the Wildcats were just 3-for-18 from beyond the three-point arc.
